Premier Development Co. engaged us to develop a campus master plan and design for a new health care campus on an excellent site in Hudson, OH adjacent to Route 8 to attract one of the region’s premier providers.
The continuum of care campus happens to be organized chronologically from south to north with day care adjacent to the main entry drive atop the knoll, and psychiatric, medical office and senior living occupancies organized on both sides of the main access drive with the acute care/ ambulatory hospital at the highest point to the north. This enables the hospital patient wings to be directed at a wetlands preserve to the east, allowing the natural environment to become a part of the healing process.
The hospital was organized around hospitality paradigm with a large communal atrium between outpatient/ lab and acute care elements. Senior row housing is organized along a walking trail towards the wetlands.
