This prominent Ohio law firm was experiencing significant growth in its Cleveland office and engaged us to evaluate alternative locations, support lease negotiation and plan, design and administer a redesign and expansion. The resulting design creates a new brand identity that aligns with the firm’s entrepreneurial clientele so they BDB as a value-adding business partner, sharing and risk and reward.
Modern materials at entry, reception-waiting and conference areas were taken from the base building’s modern architecture of silver aluminum and stainless steel. A dark rich walnut was employed for doors and millwork to add a warmth to the design.
Perimeter offices feature a sloping sill with translucent glass clerestories that mirror the building’s angular geometry to bring daylight to interior zones. Conference spaces feature adjustable lighting and movable furniture assets to respond to diverse meeting and collaboration needs. The project features numerous sustainable initiatives, including reed-embedded glazing, cork floors and low-VOC materials and adhesives.
