The Pittsburgh office of this Philadelphia-based top tier law firm needed to expand to accommodate growth and put in place a new brand identity. The firm’s occupancy at the top of One Mellon Center presented a number of challenges.

By expanding up to the 51st floor, the firm’s library was relocated, freeing up needed space for an expanded client conference suite on the main reception level on the 50th floor. A dramatic staircase was added to connect the top floor at the reception area, with the stair designed so that prefabricated sections could be brought to the space via freight elevators.

With practice groups relocated to the 51st floor, the subsequent phases enabled the existing floors to be renovated with new lighting, finishes and millwork, creating a high;y finished, light and sophisticated image with quality furnishings to properly reflect the stature of the firm.
“On the two projects that we have worked with Eberhard Architects, the firm has provided excellent responsiveness and have shown outstanding design ability.  As a general contractor, we are accustomed to working with dozens of design firms on all types of projects.  We can honestly say that all of the drawings and details provided in the contract documents by the firm have always been highly constructible.  When an issue did arise on a project, Their principal and project team were quick with responses and provided the information that was required.  We look forward to constructing many future projects with them in the future.”
