175,000 sf

NAIOP Regional Design Award

This speculative suburban office building and parking facility was originally designed by Baker & Associates to feature gray precast concrete panels and dark gray glass. The client, a devoutly spiritual individual, felt that a more uplifting experience was in order. Principal Bill Eberhard was retained to redesign the project and glorify God’s gifts to man through nature. Pink/ peach Indian granite was selected to compliment a warm pink insulating glass from France. The exterior windows were changed to a staggered horizontal seamless mullion system to create an elegant banding to articulate the shape of the seven story, 175,000 sf mass.

The building’s lobby was increased to a three-story chamber, structural columns removed and the frame redesigned to provide a more welcoming entry experience. Tall bamboo flank aisles around a cylindrical 12,000-lb. salt water aquarium with live coral and exotic fish. Mexican marble floors and anigre wood veneers greet tenants in lobby and elevator chambers. Common areas feature a 50-seat auditorium, a full fitness center and locker/ shower rooms, Conference Center and underground parking.
“The Krill Co., Inc. has managed and constructed over a dozen projects with Bill Eberhard over the past 20 years, and I personally remain convinced that Bill Eberhard provides his clients with the most complete design services.  His ability to meet the needs of the client with function, color, aesthetics, space use, and technical expertise is an attribute to him and his firm.  One can always recognize the artistic touch of a Bill Eberhard project with its clean and crisp appearance, and though the construction can be complex and demanding, the finish product comes together with perfection.”
